Coronavirus Pandemic to Boost Food Delivery Industry
With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic forcing many people to stay at home for protracted periods of time, consumer demand for food delivery has been growing massively. The frequency of ordering from food delivery apps (e.g. foodpanda, deliveroo) is developing rapidly since 2019.
Compulsory to use "LeaveHomeSafe" (安心出行) in specified premises
The HK Government announced the arrangements for using the "LeaveHomeSafe" (LHS) mobile application effective from 9th December of 2021, in order to implement the earlier announcement on extending the requirement to use the LHS mobile application to all premises regulated under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F).
According to the announcement, customers or users of all premises regulated under Cap. 599F must scan the LHS venue QR code using the LHS mobile application before entering the premises.
